Hello, I teach Spanish 2 and Spanish 3 Honors this school year at FHS. I am starting my 23rd year in the education field. I have taught Spanish levels 1-4; I have also taught ESL English. I am excited to start my 1st year here at FHS. Some of you may have seen me at ATMS last year; can't wait to see some of those students in the high school in the next couple of years and I look forward to seeing some of their siblings this school year. I look forward to opening new doors of opportunity for our students as they broaden their knowledge in a second language.
A little bit about myself; I got my bachelor's degree of arts in Spanish/English from Wayland Baptist University; my master's degree in esl/bilingual from Texas Tech University; my leadership studies from Lamar University.
I have three awesome, wonderful, hard-working children (yes, I brag about them all the time and I call my son-in-law my son)! I am proud to say that I will be a grandmother for the first time in January. My daughter Julissa and her husband Nabor Vega-Canchola live in Lubbock; and my son Jimmy Guerrero Jr. lives with me in Wolfforth. I obviously moved to Wolfforth to be closer to them. I hope to make Wolfforth and FISD my home until my retirement year!
I have heard and continue to hear great things about FISD!! I hope to be a part of those amazing success stories I have always heard of.
