Greetings to all:
This will be my 35th year in education. My undergraduate degree was in accounting, and I have two master's degrees, one in Business Education and the other in Educational Leadership. I have taught and coached at Arlington Heights High School, Fort Worth ISD for 9 years. I then moved back to Colorado, where I am from, and coached and taught at Rye High School, Pueblo County School District 70 in Colorado for 4 years. I have coached as an assistant coach in football, basketball. track and a head coach in basketball and track.
After my coaching career, I took over as the high school assistant principal and athletic director. I stayed in this position for 4 years. After this I became the principal for the Rye High School which I continued for 9 years. Then after my principal tenure, I became the district's Chief Financial Officer for 7.5 years before retiring from education in Colorado.
I have three kids, Trisha (Nurse Practitioner), Anthony (School Technology Specialist) and Andrew - AJ (Welder with government contractor). My wife, Lavita, is retired and enjoying her time off. We move to Lubbock 2 1/2 years ago and we are enjoying the wind Lubbock offers. It has been a change from the mountains of Colorado to the plains of Texas, but we are enjoying the change and the people of Lubbock. I look forward to working with the students and staff of Frenship High School this year.
