Ms. de Bruin is a 2020 graduate of Texas Tech University. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education and has performed extensively as both a pianist and percussionist in jazz combos, concert bands, and chamber groups. Her passion for conducting led her to pursue a Master of Music in Wind Band Conducting at Stephen F. Austin State University, where she graduated in May 2025.

Ms. de Bruin began her teaching career as Head Band Director at Muleshoe ISD and is thrilled to join Frenship High School, where she is dedicated to helping students develop their musical skills, ignite creativity, and achieve artistic excellence.

Raised in West Texas with Dutch roots, she believes music is a powerful bridge that connects people through shared artistry. A lifelong learner and aspiring multi-instrumentalist, she’s constantly exploring new instruments and performing in her community. Beyond music, she enjoys reading, crafting, and perfecting her next cup of coffee, which she considers an art form in its own right.
