Zach Lancaster is an Assistant Band Director at Frenship High School, where he teaches the FHS Jazz Band, Symphonic Band, and the FHS Tiger Marching Band. Before teaching at Frenship, Mr. Lancaster taught for two years at Craig Middle School in Abilene, where the Non-Varsity Band under his direction earned their first Sweepstakes rating in the history of the campus. 
 
Mr. Lancaster is originally from Waco, Texas and attended Midway High School. After graduating in 2016, Mr. Lancaster attended McLennan Community College and marched with the Baylor Golden Wave Band while enrolled at MCC. He later attended Hardin-Simmons University and was in the HSU "World Famous" Cowboy Band, where he performed in parades across Texas and beyond. Lancaster student taught at Wylie HS in Abilene, where he was named Outstanding Student Teacher in 2021.
 
Mr. Lancaster earned his master's degree in Saxophone Performance at Baylor University in 2023, where he studied under Dr. Michael Jacobson, Dr. Eric Wilson, and Mr. Alex Parker. While at Baylor, Lancaster performed with the Baylor Symphonic Band, the Baylor Wind Ensemble, the Baylor Jazz Ensembles, and the Impetus Saxophone Quartet. Mr. Lancaster performed with the Baylor Wind Ensemble at the 2022 Midwest Clinic in Chicago and played baritone saxophone on the Divine Mischief album, a professionally recorded collaboration between the Baylor Wind Ensemble and renowned clarinetist Julian Bliss that can be found on Apple Music and Spotify. 
 
In the summer, Mr. Lancaster serves as a counselor and saxophone teacher at the Baylor University Band and Orchestra camps. In his free time, Mr. Lancaster likes to travel, go hiking, play video games, and spend time with his friends, family, and cat.
