Wrestling off to Blazing Start to 2019-2020 Season

On November 23 Boys Wrestling took down perennial powerhouse Amarillo Tascosa 42-36 with a statement start to the season. They followed on December 3 going 2-0 against Bushland and Canyon to improve to 3-1 on the duals season. On December 14 the boys earned their first medals in school history with 10 wrestlers medaling at the Lubbock high Invitational. Back in duals, the Tigers took down Palo Duro and dropped a match to a tough Hereford team to notch a 4-2 record entering the Christmas Break. Most recently on January 3 the Tigers competed in the South Plains Invitational. Senior Clinton Thetford (152lbs) placed 3rd and Senior DJ Garza (160lbs) placed 2nd.

The Tigers and Lady Tigers will host Lubbock High JV and Borger on Tuesday, January 7 at 4:30 pm at the Ninth Grade Center. The boys will then be back in action at the Hereford Run on January 10-11. The Lady Tigers will participate in the Caprock Lady Longhorn Tournament in Amarillo on the same days. You can keep up with Frenship Wrestling’s action on Twitter @FrenshipW.
