This past weekend, students from Frenship High School and Memorial High School competed in the State SkillsUSA Competition in Corpus Christi. Several students brought home medals, and for the second year in a row the Frenship High School Forensic Science Team claimed the state championship title.

The Frenship High School Varsity Winterguard earned second place at the North Texas Colorguard Association State Championships, marking the program’s first medal since the competition adopted a prelims and finals format.

Taylor Revilla, Frenship Alum and Community Librarian at the City of Wolfforth Library, was honored with the Siddie Joe Johnson Award, a statewide recognition celebrating outstanding service to children in Texas Libraries. Each year, only one librarian in the state is selected to receive this distinguished honor.

Frenship High School senior Brogan Richards has been recruited to join the prestigious University of Nevada, Las Vegas Rebel Girls & Company dance team. His experience with Frenship Pom played a key role in preparing him for this opportunity and shaping his journey as a dancer.

Frenship ISD students showcased their academic excellence at the UIL District Meet, with both Frenship High School and Frenship Memorial High School earning top honors across a wide range of events, and a total of 24 students advancing to the regional competition.

Frenship High School senior Brinkley Coker has made history as the first Frenship student to receive the YWCA Youth Leadership Award. Recognized for her excellence in academics, athletics, and service, Coker’s impact reaches far beyond the classroom. Her leadership continues to inspire both her peers and the Lubbock community.

Earlier this month, the Frenship High School Chess Club made school history by earning the title of JV State Champions at the 2026 Texas Chess Association Super State Tournament. Following their standout performance, the six-member team is now set to compete on the national stage at the USCF National Chess Tournament in Chicago on March 27.

Frenship ISD is proud to celebrate Zian Doctolero, a 7th grader at Terra Vista Middle School, who won the 74th Annual Lubbock Regional Spelling Bee on March 7. Zian will now represent the region at the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C., this May.
