Frenship Boys Basketball Prepares for Season Opener on Saturday

Frenship Boys Basketball Head Coach Paul Page said he is anxious and excited to get the season started.

“We’re bringing very good core players from last season’s district championship team, and will be able to lean on them and their experience to help try to put us in that same position this season,” Page said. “With being able to play tournaments again this year, we fill like our pre-district schedule will be very competitive and help us establish our team identity earlier.”

Page said this year his team’s motto is “#RUNitback,” something that he is hoping his team can take ownership of.

“We want to strive for another district championship this year by doing what we do which is run and play fast, which is what #RUNitback is all about,” Page said.

This season the Tigers are returning seven key lettermen from last year’s team:

Tajavis Miller, District 2-6A Newcomer of the Year 20-21

Tracy Godfrey, District Defensive Player of the Year 20-21

Tate Beeles, 1st Team All-District 20-21

Lincon Parrott, 2nd Team All-District 20-21

Jalen Braziel

Jake Armstrong

Corbin Gandy
