Frenship Girls Basketball Prepares for Hub City Tip-Off Tournament, Hosts Backpack Drive

Last week the Tigers took on #8 state ranked Amarillo High, and even though the Tigers had a strong start and finish, the belly of the game took its toll on Frenship.

Frenship started the first period, racing ahead of Amarillo 18-14. The Lady Sandies erased their early deficit during the second and third period, outscoring the Tigers 35-17. In the fourth, the Tigers fought to get the W, but ended up falling to the Sandies 50-59.

Andie Caddel got the ball rolling with an early pair of three point buckets, while Mikah Chapman led the Tigers with 12 points.

The Hub City Tip-Off Classic tournament is on-going with the first round of games today. Tickets for the tournament are available HERE.

The Tigers are hosting a back-pack drive during the tournament as well to benefit the Bair Foundation of Texas Christian Foster Care and Adoption.

New or gently used backpacks and monetary donations will be accepted during the tournament today, Thursday, November 18 running through Saturday, November 20.
