On April 19, the Frenship Unified Track and Field team competed in the West Regional United Meet hosted at Lubbock Christian University. Continuing their season’s winning streak, the Tigers brought home the overall team Regional Championship title after beating Lubbock-Cooper by just one point during the intense competition.
In addition to the overall championship, the Tigers also brought home gold in three events and broke several Frenship High School Unified records.
“We are so proud of each and every one of our athletes and partners. They have fought so hard all season, faced some challenges along the way, but never stopped,” said Kayci Smith, Frenship High School Unified Track and Field Coach.
This win marks their fourth championship title this year after winning both local Unified meets, the area Unified meet, and now the regional meet. The Tigers will make their second state appearance at the State Meet on May 2nd.
