Frenship Volleyball Continues to Dominate

The Tigers faced several good opponents in Allen going 1-2 on Friday. The Tigers faced JJ Pearce, Wylie, and Frisco Memorial.  

Head Coach Amy Magnum said that the team chemistry was very evident throughout the entire tournament.  

“I am proud of how hard the team fought in every match! They never quit,” said Coach Mangum. 

Allen Tournament Friday Results: 

  • JJ Pearce defeated Frenship 28-30, 25-22, 23-25 
  • Frenship defeated Wylie (Dallas) 17-25, 25-22, 28-26 
  • Frisco Memorial defeated Frenship 23-25, 23-25 

On day two of the Allen Tournament things turned around for the Frenship Tigers going 2-2.  

“We had so many close matches. We won a few and lost a few! We will continue to work on finishing a game with confidence,” said Coach Mangum. 

Allen Tournament Saturday Results: 

  • Frenship defeated Frisco 25-23, 22-25, 25-17 
  • Frenship defeated Frisco Heritage 25-19, 25-13 
  • Wylie East defeated Frenship 25-23, 22-25, 11-25 
  • McKinney North defeated Frenship 24-26, 20-25 
     

The team's goal is to continue to grow and get better through every game. 

"We want to continue to improve and find ways to use our talents on the court! We want to peak at the right time. (Close to playoffs) So, we continue to work to find things we have struggled with and then make ourselves better at those things,” said Coach Mangum.

Tuesday, August 22, the girls faced Lubbock-Cooper and came out victorious, going 3-1. The scores were: 21-25, 25-14, 25-20, 25-11. The Tigers record is now 13-6. 

“I am extremely proud of the girls fighting back after a slow start! I love seeing them compete and turn things around,” said Coach Mangum.
