Frenship sent 11 runners to the Nike South Invitational. In the Girls Division, Amaya Mendoza finished 52nd with a time of 19:27.50. Zyla Deshone came in right behind her in 54th place with a time of 19:31.00 for the Elite Girls Division.

“This race was incredible with 180 runners from the best teams in the state,” said Head Cross Country Coach Jeff Bigham.

In the Varsity Boys Red Division, Blake Morrison ran a great race finishing in 3rd place with a time of 16:24.80. Brett Cram came in 48th place with a time of 17:26.50. Cade Franklin crossed the finished line in 65th place with a time of 17:39.20. The boys team finished in 12th place out of 27 total teams.

“Blake took the lead early and barely got passed as they entered the last 100 meters of the race,” said Coach Bigham.

In the Canyon Invitational Andrea Irelan finished 9th with a time of 20:27. Ashley Griffin came in 16th place with a time of 20:51. Laurne Griffin finished 19th with a time of 21:06.

“The girls varsity team came in 5th place out of 10 teams. Not bad for a split team,” said Coach Bigham.

For the Boys Team, Jacob Dominguez came in 42nd with a time of 18:03. Jacob Murray crossed the line at 53rd place with a time of 18:25 in a loaded varsity boys field.
