Tigers Put up Strong Fight Against Midland High

The Tigers were hoping to take down the 7-0 undefeated Bulldogs on Friday evening, but unfortunately, due to several big rushing plays from the Bulldogs, the Tigers came up short by 10 points.

Head Football Coach, Jay Northcutt, commends the Bulldogs for a tough game and is hoping for the Tigers to bring home a District win.

“We knew they were a good team coming in here. Coach Fortune has done a great job with that program from top to bottom,” said Coach Northcutt. “The difference in the game was the turnovers. You just can’t turn the ball over that many times in a big game. Hopefully we’ll learn from this and move on. Our backs are against the wall, and we need to go out and get a district win.”

Coming up next, the Tigers are traveling to Odessa Permian on Friday, October 20 to face the Permian Panthers. Kickoff is at 7:00 p.m. Click HERE to purchase your game day ticket.

The Panthers have an overall record of (4-3) and (1-1) for District play, placing them 3rd in District. The Tigers have an overall record of (5-2) and (0-2) record for District play.
