Boys Basketball Starts Season on Powerful Note

It’s a good start to Basketball season for the Frenship Tigers. The Boys dominated Kileen Shoemaker and Boys Head Basketball Coach, Paul Page is happy with the results.  

“After only being up 10 at half, we had a big 2nd half and scored 27 and 28 points in the 3rd and 4th to pull away. Patton Pinkins finished with 26 and JJ Davis was 100% from the field and finished with 13 points and 8 assists,” said Coach Page.

After the two back-to-back wins to start the season off the team is one step closer to one of their goals this season, winning the District Championship.  

“One of our goals is to put ourselves in a good position to win our 4th District Championship in a row and make another deep playoff run again this season,” said Coach Page. “This will be a very fun team to watch play this season. We will play hard and play fast which should make for some exciting basketball to watch.”

Although there is no school next week, the Tigers are staying busy with two upcoming games. The Tigers will face Abilene Wylie on Monday, November 20 in Abilene at 4:00 p.m. Then, the Tigers will face Lubbock-Cooper on Tuesday, November 21 in the Tiger Pit at 7:30 p.m. 

“We are excited for next week’s games at Abilene Wylie who always is tough to beat at home and hosting Lubbock Cooper on Tuesday which should be a great environment for our team to play in,” said Coach Page.
