It was a good weekend for the Girls Golf Team as they competed in the Frenship Invitational at Lakeridge Country Club. The Frenship Blue team participated in the 1st Division and according to Head Girls Golf Coach, Roger Whipkey it was a very deep and tough division.
“Some of the best teams in the region were in attendance and the Blue team held its own against them,” said Coach Whipkey.
The Blue team shot a 352-332 (684) to place 4th and nearly edged out Argyle High School for 3rd place. Congratulations to Frenship Blue team members: Kara Knight, Melanie Jones, Dayna Keeling, Brylee Kinman, and Kenley Baker.
The Frenship Gold team competed in Division 2 and proudly walked with 1st place shooting a 379-372 (752). Lauren Flores led the way for the Gold team shooting a final round 87 to win 4th place individually in Division 2. Congratulations to Frenship Gold team members: Emilee Jaime, Lauren Flores, Peighton Justus, Harli Keeton, and Hayden Keeton.
Next for the Girls Golf Team is the Regional Preview on February 16-17 at Tangle Ridge Golf Course in Grand Prairie.
