Boys Soccer Bounces Back Strong After Loss, Securing Victory in Exciting Match

The Tigers came up short to the Odessa Permian Panthers last week in a tough 0-3 battle. Scott Smith, Head Boys Soccer Coach, is anticipating improvement the next time the Tigers play the Panthers.

"Unfortunately, we weren't quite at the races for large spells of this game,” said Coach Smith. “Very uncharacteristic of our young men. We're very much looking forward to the return fixture at our home field - we all know that's a performance from all of us that needs to be corrected."

The Tigers had quite the comeback against Odessa High on Tuesday, February 13 bringing home a 3-0 win. Goals were scored by: Ryan Pharies, Cooper Scott, and Jeremiah Adams. There were two assists completed by Jeremiah Adams as well.

"We made some changes after the Permian game, and those changes, along with some great senior leadership, Jeremiah, Cooper, and Ryan especially, and hard yards from everyone on the roster, meant we ultimately got every last bit of what we deserved. And that is our message at this point in time – hard work will create more rub of the green, so to speak,” said Coach Smith.

Up next the Boys Soccer team will face San Angelo Central on Friday, February 16 at 7:30 p.m. at Bobcat Stadium.
