The Frenship Tiger Baseball Team celebrated the District 2-6A Championship last night. The Tigers took down the San Angelo Central Bobcats 5-1. Head Baseball Coach Chad Reynolds is proud of the team’s perseverance and grit.
“We are excited to be the district champions,” said Coach Reynolds. “I think it's important to celebrate those successes and moments when you reach your goals. We also want to keep getting better and stay in a good rhythm with a couple of games to go against Central. I hope we will continue to compete at a high level and finish out the regular season the right way.”
It was another successful series for the Tigers against the Odessa Permian Panthers last week. The Tigers swept the Panthers in the three-day series. Check out the scores.

- Thursday: Frenship defeats Odessa Permian, 7-2
- Friday: Frenship defeats Odessa Permian, 7-6
- Saturday: Frenship defeats Odessa Permian, 8-0
“Our guys showed a tremendous amount of toughness in this series. Nothing came easy and we had to battle through a lot of adversity. Our guys handled it very well. I was proud of them,” said Coach Reynolds.
