Frenship High School FFA and Memorial High School FFA Earn National Recognition

This summer, Frenship High School FFA members Karter Bowen and Jocelyn Payne competed with Agriculture Proficiency SAE projects. Payne received a Gold Emblem distinction in the Equine Science – Placement Proficiency category, and Bowen was named a National Finalist in the Swine Production – Placement Proficiency category. Bowen will compete at the national level this September and October for the opportunity to be named a National Champion in her category.

After being named a Top 25 Gold Emblem Chapter at the state level, the Frenship Memorial FFA advanced to the national level and was awarded a prestigious 3-Star National Chapter rating by the National FFA Organization, the highest rating a chapter can receive through the National Chapter Award Program. Less than 10% of FFA chapters nationwide receive a rating from the National FFA Organization. The National Chapter Award Program recognizes FFA chapters across the country that actively implement the mission and strategies of the National FFA Organization.

Congratulations students!
