Tiger Volleyball Splits Two Matches Last Week

The Tiger volleyball team bounced back from their first District 2-6A loss Tuesday at Midland Lee by downing Tascosa Friday in an impressive three games 25-18, 25-22, 25-16.

FHS tallied 40 offensive kills as a team with four different players recorded at least seven. Gracie Harrison had eight kills to lead the team, Emma Davila added seven kills and 12 digs, Caroline Kerr chipped in seven kills and six digs, Aaliyana Mayfield scored seven kills and four digs.

Emily Jones finished the match five kills, 12 digs and a team-high 2.5 blocks. Hannah Page led the way with 15 digs while Kayton Genenbacher led with 20 assists and Reagan Snuggs added 12 assists as well.

The Tigers (23-9, 2-1) finish the first half of District 2-6A play this week, first hosting Midland Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. at the Tiger Pit before traveling to Odessa Permian Friday for a 5:00 p.m. match.
