In this edition of Talking with Tigers, we visit with Frenship ISD Director of Counseling Craig Thomson about the importance of Child Abuse Prevention Month and the resources available to help prevent, identify, and report child abuse and neglect.

The student votes are in, and Frenship ISD is excited to welcome a new family member! On April 11, the Frenship ISD Board of Trustees unanimously voted to approve the student recommendations for the new mascot of Frenship Memorial High School as the Panthers with the official colors of Frenship blue and bright blue.

The Frenship High School Baseball Team swept 2 out of 3 games against Midland High last week. The Tigers are proud of how they finished the series off on a strong note.

The Frenship High School Track and Field Teams have been sprinting to success this season. All four teams were named team champions at the Lubbock ISD Invitational. The Varsity Girls, JV Girls, and JV Boys were named Champions at the District Meet.

This week the Frenship High School Girls Golf Team won the District 2 6-A Championship, advancing them into the Regional Tournament. Head Girls Golf Coach Roger Whipkey is filled with pride as he saw the teams demonstrate remarkable skill and sportsmanship on the green.

The Frenship Girls Soccer Team are Area champs, Regional Quarterfinal champs, and hoping to be Regional Tournament champs. This group of goal-getters has raised the bar for Frenship Girls Soccer history.

The Frenship Tiger Softball Team continues to stay on top of the District 2 6-A leaderboard! This past week the Tigers defeated the San Angelo Central Bobcats and Midland Legacy Rebels.

The Frenship Unified Track team celebrated winning the Area Meet earlier this week. The Tigers will now advance to the Regional Competition later this month.

Yesterday, the Frenship Boys Golf Teams brought home second place at the District 2 6-A Championship, securing them a spot at the Regional competition later this month. Several Tigers also placed individually at the District Championship.

Last week, the Frenship Tigers brushed past the Odessa High Bronchos securing a pitch-perfect victory. The Frenship Baseball team is currently competing in the Midland High Series hoping for more victories on the diamond.
