Dual Credit 1301 follows ASU grading guidelines, not those of Frenship High School. As a college level course, Dual Credit does not allow for correcting grades, nor is there extra credit.
This course can include reading assignments, class discussion, essays, exams, written daily assignments, and a final project. Grades are calculated on the following percentages:
Formulative 60% (Minor Writing Products)
Summative 40% (Major Writing Products)
Essays- this is a heavy writing class. Be prepared to write three major essays along with smaller writing assignments and a final portfolio. The final portfolio will be in Skyward grade and ASU grade.
>ALL essays and assignments will be submitted through Blackboard and Turn It In (plagiarism checker).
>Technology issues are not an excuse for late work. Please don't wait until the last minute to submit so that you have time to figure out how to solve any tech problem which may arise. All issues with Blackboard must be solved with ASU IT. I do not have access to Blackboard except to see what is posted.
>Essays are scored on content and mechanics/grammar/word choice.
>NO Late work is accepted unless there is an emergency such as hospitalization or death in the family. Please communicate with me as soon as possible.
>NO Corrections are allowed in Dual Credit.
