I grew up in San Antonio, and in high school competed on the swim team, played trumpet in the marching band, and earned the rank of Eagle Scout. After graduating I moved to Lubbock to attend Texas Tech University, where I majored in English, minored in Communications and Architecture, and also met my wife!

 

My wife Mikki has worked at Texas Tech since we were students there. We have two daughters: Brooke, who studied horse breeding and lives on a ranch near Matador, and Kendall, who is a senior at Kingdom Prep Academy and plays basketball.

 

This is my thirteenth year in education and tenth year as a Frenship Tiger. I have a B.A. in English and am currently working toward an M.Ed. in Administration through the TechLEAD program at Texas Tech University.
