AP Calculus

Course Description

AP Calculus AB is an introductory college-level calculus course. Students cultivate their understanding of differential and integral calculus through engaging with real-world problems represented graphically, numerically, analytically, and verbally.  Students also use definitions and theorems to build arguments and justify conclusions as they explore concepts like change, limits, and the analysis of functions.  Please remember this is an Advanced Placement course.  AP Calculus is designed to allow advanced understanding by those students who wish to reach higher in their studies of mathematics.  This course will challenge students to excel in their highest level of learning and prepare them for success in the world of post- secondary education and in the business world beyond.  The rigor of the curriculum will not be sacrificed as students find themselves consistently encouraged to push themselves even more toward excellence.  We will work hard EVERY DAY, but we will also have some fun along the way.
