This past Saturday, Tigers from across the district competed in the Area 17 Special Olympics Basketball Tournament. The event provided an exciting opportunity for students to demonstrate their skills in a supportive and encouraging environment.

This month’s theme for Mental Health Minute is Kindness. As a component of the 2021 Strategic Plan Initiative, the goal of the Mental Health Minute is to spread awareness of mental health across Frenship ISD.

Second-grade students at Legacy Elementary are getting hands-on lessons in sustaining plant life. Thanks to a teacher grant from the Frenship Foundation for Leadership, these classrooms are cultivating their knowledge using a three-tiered plant grow cart.

Frenship High School is now an LCU Direct Admission Partner, providing eligible seniors with a simplified path to college. Through this partnership with Lubbock Christian University, qualifying students will receive automatic acceptance, scholarship opportunities, and a streamlined enrollment process.

The 2025 Frenship Foundation Character Scholarship applications are open! These scholarships are awarded to seniors who exemplify exceptional character, leadership, and service to others. The deadline to apply is Friday, March 14, 2025, at 6:00 p.m.

Dr. Christopher Vasquez-Wright, a Frenship High School dual language social studies teacher, has been named a 2024 Humanities Texas Outstanding Early-Career Teaching Award recipient, a prestigious award only given to two teachers in Texas this year.

After nearly four decades of serving in law enforcement, Frenship ISD Police Chief Roy Bassett is hanging up his uniform. He has spent the last six years serving Frenship families and leaves a lasting impact across the district.

At Frenship High School, over 200 students are planting the seeds for success within the floral industry thanks to the budding CTE Program. Learning from industry professionals and designing arrangements for community events, these students are flourishing in this hands-on program.

Frenship ISD is partnering with Texas Workforce Solutions-Vocational Rehabilitation Services and Workforce Solutions South Plains to hold a Special Education Community Resource Fair on Tuesday, March 4th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Frenship High School cafeteria.
