Frenship High School Announces New Assistant Principal

The 2024-2025 school year marks Scott Swindoll’s 12th year in education. Swindoll’s career first began as a Special Education teacher at Mackenzie Middle School in Lubbock ISD.  For the past six years, he has served the students, teachers, and families of Terra Vista Middle School as an Assistant Principal.

He believes his time at Terra Vista has prepared him to serve as Frenship High School’s newest Assistant Principal.

“I decided to make the move to Frenship High School because I want to experience having an impact on students at this pivotal time in their education journey and continue serving in a new capacity,” said Swindoll. “Frenship has been and will continue to be a huge part of my life, so the move to FHS is something that I'm looking forward to.”

Swindoll is most excited to continue making an impact on the Frenship family this upcoming new school year.

“I'm excited about everything!  I'm looking forward to reconnecting with former students and families, while building new relationships with staff and students,” said Swindoll. “I am excited for the opportunity to learn from the seasoned team of teachers and administrators at FHS, and I can't wait to continue serving the Frenship community!”

Swindoll grew up in Lubbock and attended Frenship ISD since the 4th grade. He attended Crestview Elementary, Bennett Intermediate (where he was in the first 6th grade class), and Frenship Junior High before graduating from Frenship High School.  He is married to his wife, Ashley, of 16 years and has two daughters: Kamdyn, who will be a sophomore at FHS, and Kirklynn, who will be in the 8th grade at Alcove Trails Middle School.

“Having been a Tiger since elementary school, I've always loved the supportive community and focus on academic excellence,” said Swindoll. “I love that my own children get to experience that same nurturing environment. It's a Great Day to be a Tiger!”

Frenship ISD is thrilled to have Scott Swindoll on the Frenship High School administration team.
