Hello, 

My name is Shelby May, this is my 8th year teaching/coaching and my third year at Frenship High school! I hold teaching certifications in Social Studies Composite 7th-12th grade, All level PE (K-12th) and Speech 7th-12th and ESL. In addition, to teaching history (U.S Government) I am also the Varsity/JV assistant tennis coach at FHS. I have coached and taught at both the 5A and 6A levels and the teams I have coached over the years have had a lot of success, breaking school records each year. I am excited for this school year and look forward to all of the great things my students will accomplish both in the classroom and out on the tennis court. 

 

Prior to teaching and coaching at the secondary level, I played collegiate tennis at North Central Texas College and LeTourneau University. I graduated with honors with my bachelor's degree from LeTourneau University in 2014. I graduated with my Master of Education: Kinesiology degree in 2017 from Hardin-Simmons University where I also served as a graduate assistant tennis coach. 

 

I am glad to be a part of the Frenship family and eagerly look forward to a great year ahead.
