At Frenship, we understand graduation is an important milestone for our seniors. While this year’s ceremonies may look and feel different, we are committed to honoring the Class of 2020 for their accomplishments spanning 13 years.
The health and safety of our students, family members, and staff remains a top priority as we balance the need to honor our graduates while practicing social distancing, following CDC guidelines and staying in compliance with state and local orders. Below you will find details related to the Frenship High School graduation ceremony and the Reese Education Center graduation ceremony. Any additional questions should be directed to that specific campus.

The FHS graduation ceremony will be held on Friday, June 5, 2020 at 7:30 p.m. at Peoples Bank Stadium with limited guest seating. Per the Texas Education Agency guidelines, Texas schools cannot have an in person, outdoor ceremony prior to June 1 and no rehearsals are allowed.
Senior Attire - To participate in the ceremony, seniors must wear their cap and gown and follow the school dress code. Seniors are strongly encouraged to wear a mask. While students will not be permitted to decorate their caps, FHS is allowing seniors to decorate their mask as long as the decor is appropriate for a school function. If a student does not have a mask, but would like to wear one, we will provide a mask prior to the ceremony.
Arrival Procedures - The parking lot between the soccer pitch and football field will be designated for seniors. Students are asked to be seated in chairs staged on the soccer field no later than 6:30 p.m. to receive instructions. Seniors and parents will receive an email with a video demonstrating the ceremony walk-in process.
Limited Guests - To stay within state and local guidelines for occupancy percentages, we are required to limit seating. Each senior will be issued four tickets for guests. If a senior does not need all four tickets, they will be allowed to trade with others; however, Frenship will not facilitate the trading of tickets. Each guest, regardless of age, must present a ticket before entering the stadium, and there will be no reentry once guests have entered. Tickets will be authenticated, so no tickets may be duplicated. Tickets will be available for pick up May 27-29 at FHS in front of the student center by the student or primary guardian listed in Skyward. Pick up times will be from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 pm. and from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm. ID will need to be provided for ticket pickup.
Ceremony - Chairs will be placed at least six feet apart on the football field for senior seating. Guests seating will be on the home side of the stadium with every other row empty and at least six feet between each family/group. Seniors will be allowed to walk across the stage to pick up their diploma. All personal contact such as shaking hands will not be permitted. All seniors’ names will be called, regardless if they are in attendance. The entire ceremony will be livestreamed to Frenship.TV for those who cannot attend. A recording of the ceremony will also be made available at a later date.
Dismissal - Seniors will be dismissed in stages to prevent crowds at the exits. Family members will not be allowed on the field.
Safety Measures - Frenship is encouraging anyone who feels unwell to remain home and watch the ceremony on the live feed. In addition to social distancing measures for seating, there will be frequent cleaning of bathrooms, hand sanitizing stations, and staff members to help enforce social distancing as guests arrive.
FHS will continue to communicate with families on additional details. Specific questions or concerns about graduation should be directed to FHS.
