About Mrs. Harris

Welcome everyone!

My name is Melani Harris and I am one of your agricultural science teachers here at Frenship High School. I grew up in a small town with roots in agriculture. I graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor's of Science in Interdisciplinary Agriculture and a minor in Animal Science. I competed on the 2015 Texas Tech National Champion Meat Judging Team as well as was a 4th generation Red Raider. My love for Frenship and Texas Tech has truly made Lubbock my home! My husband and I both teach at Frenship and we love being Frenship Tigers!

I teach Small Animal Management, Equine Science, Floral Design and Advanced Animal Science. I love the FFA organization and teaching agricultural science classes. Teaching is my passion and I truly do believe our students are our future. I believe in the FFA Motto "Learning to Do, Doing to Learn, Earning to Live and Living to Serve" and I motivate students to live by this motto. I am currently on my 7th year of teaching Agricultural Science classes and serving as an FFA  Advisor. I am excited to be at Frenship High School to make a positive difference in the lives of students. I look forward to working with you to make Frenship FFA the best in the state of Texas. If I can ever be of assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out at [email protected].
