Serving With Purpose
At Frenship FCCLA, students learn how to lead by serving others. Through meaningful service projects, members develop leadership skills that not only benefit their communities but also prepare them for future success in the workplace. Each year, students take part in a variety of volunteer efforts that support individuals and families across the Lubbock and Wolfforth areas.
Examples of past service projects include:
-
Preparing meals for families staying at the Ronald McDonald House
-
Collecting stocking stuffers for students in the district Mentor Program
-
Donating and decorating grocery bags for the South Plains Food Bank
-
Making fleece tie blankets for Ronald McDonald House Charities
-
Sewing chemo caps for patients receiving treatment
Fundraisers
Students also participate in an annual fundraiser to help pay for club activities throughout the year. Students participating in the competitions may do additional fundraisers to help pay for competition fees, supplies, registration and other costs associated with the competitions.
