At the recent UMC Miracle Pennies fundraiser kickoff event, Frenship ISD was named the 2024 Overall District Fundraiser for Children’s Miracle Network. Gearing up for this year, several Frenship schools attended the event to brainstorm ideas and strategize for the annual fundraiser.

Several Frenship campuses attended the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Empowerment Summit hosted by Texas Tech University. Students engaged in leadership activities and career exploration, all inspired by Dr. King’s vision.

The First Tech Challenge is in full swing at Frenship ISD with dozens of middle school students competing in a recent meet. These students have shown perseverance throughout the season and continue to rise through the ranks.

Last week, 17 Frenship High School students competed in the DECA District Competition. Each student excelled in their individual events, earning a spot at the state competition in March.

Fifty-four Frenship students took a significant step toward advancing their media education by participating in the first ever CTE Dual Credit Signing Day. These students celebrated their commitment to earning college credit through South Plains College, marking an exciting milestone in their educational journeys.

Frenship High School Senior, Landry White was selected to represent the Frenship Pom Squad among 300 of the best dancers at the Texas Dance Educators Association.

Last weekend, several Frenship Fine Arts students auditioned for various Texas All-State Music Ensembles. Four band students and four choir students earned coveted spots in these prestigious groups and will showcase their skills at the TMEA Clinic/Convention this February.

Last week, three students from Frenship High School competed in the UIL State Congress competition. Coach Heather Byars is proud of how the students represented Frenship.

This month’s theme for Mental Health Minute is Optimism. As a component of the 2021 Strategic Plan Initiative, the goal of the Mental Health Minute is to spread awareness of mental health across Frenship ISD.

Frenship ISD is excited to announce the hiring of two head positions at Frenship Memorial High School pending school board approval on January 22. Jason Richards has been selected as the head football coach and boys athletic coordinator while Michelle Lessing will take on the role as head band director for Frenship Memorial High School.
