Frenship High School

TSIA2 at Ninth Grade Center

Texas Success Initiative Assessment

Frenship High School offers the TSIA2 (Texas Success Initiative Assessment) to satisfy requirements set by post-secondary institutions to current FHS students.

**IMPORTANT NOTE -  It is recommended to prepare and take a practice exam prior to testing. Click on the Accuplacer Practice Application College Board link on the right side of this page for study resources.

The Texas Success Initiative Assessment (TSIA2) test is designed to help determine if students are ready for college-level coursework in general areas of reading, writing, and mathematics.  Incoming college students in Texas are required to take the TSIA2 unless they are exempt through strong ACT or SAT scores.  For more information about the TSIA2 and to access student learning resources, you can go to https://tsia2.accuplacer.org/.  Click on Information for Students, then on Texas Resources.

Texas Resources include:

  • Access to the TSIA2 Web Based Study App
  • Student Brochure - Information for Students (prior to testing)
  • Student Brochure - Interpreting My Scores (after testing)
  • TSIA2 Sample Questions - ELAR and Mathematics (PDFs)
